TV Speed Test — Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2, 2026

In short: TV Speed Test measures your Apple TV's internet speed by exchanging blank test data with Cloudflare's public speed service. Your results are kept in your own iCloud account. We collect nothing. No account, no analytics, no ads.

What TV Speed Test is

TV Speed Test is an Apple TV app published on the App Store under the bundle identifier ruslandautov.AppleTVNetworkInfo.

The speed test

When you run a test, the app downloads and uploads blank data from speed.cloudflare.com and times short connections to the public resolvers 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8. Like any internet request, these reveal your public IP address to those services. The requests carry no identifiers or personal data. Their own privacy policies apply.

Your results

Each finished test (date, speeds, latency, jitter and whether you were on Wi-Fi or Ethernet) is saved on your Apple TV and in your iCloud key-value storage so it follows you to your other Apple TVs. It is stored by Apple in your iCloud account; we never receive it. You can delete it from the History tab.

Network details

The Network tab reads interface names, local IP addresses and DNS servers from tvOS on the device. They are shown to you and never sent anywhere.

Purchases

TV Speed Test Pro is a one-time purchase through the App Store. Apple handles payment; the app only learns whether Pro is unlocked.

Data we collect

None. We run no servers for TV Speed Test and include no analytics, crash-reporting, advertising or tracking SDKs.

Changes to this policy

If a future version changes how the app handles data, this page and the date above will be updated.
